'Purple Podded' is an attractive heirloom pea with purple-pink flowers followed by purple pods filled with bright green, plump peas. It is a vigorous climber to 1.5 m high. The whole pod can be eaten when young, or used as a shelling pea, fresh or dried.

Approximately 25 seeds per packet

Method: Sow direct
Sowing Depth: 20 mm
When: Autumn, Winter (and spring in cool climates)
Plant Spacing: 10cm
Plant Height: 150cm
Position: Full sun, moist well drained soil
