'Santa Rosa' Plum

Large, first quality fruit, purplish-crimson in colour with a pale blue bloom. Flesh yellow, with a red blush coming from just below the skin. Mildly sweet, with some tartness near skin and stone. Good bearer, considered to be one of the best plums.

  • Pollination

    'Mariposa'. Partially self-fertile.

  • Skin

    Bright red, then becomes a dark purplish-crimson at maturity.

  • Flesh

    Yellow with a tinge of pink under the skin. Good eating, although slightly thick skinned. Good keeping qualities

  • Flavour

    Mildly sweet, with some tartness near skin and slightly bitter around the stone.
