There are many subspecies of Hop Bush, with different leaf shapes and colours from green to red and purple. Erect, bushy shrub, 3 m H, 1.5 m diameter. Infusion used to sponge the body to relieve fever. Boiled root or juice applied for toothache and sore ears. A hardy plant which tolerates drought, pollution and coastal, salty winds.
