The Kiwiberry plant is a deciduous, self-pollinating vine producing edible fruit in Autumn. White flowers in Summer are followed by small greenish-brown, smooth skinned fruit. The fruit can be eaten fresh and whole and is similiar in taste to a kiwi fruit.
It will require a trellis to grow on, in a partly shaded position. Prefers slightly acidic, free-draining, humus rich soil. Water regularly for best fruit production. Protect from strong winds and hot afternoon summer sun.
