Morning session - Creating an edible garden…It all starts with the soil
Setting up a garden an edible garden from scratch can be a big job…save yourself time and money in the long run and do it right the first time! We will guide you through the process of planning and setting up your edible garden. We will discuss factors to consider when planning your garden, the importance of healthy soil and how to achieve it, soil testing and different methods of vegetable gardening.

Afternoon session - The secrets of maintaining a healthy organic garden.
So, you have an edible garden set up but don’t want to spend $ maintaining it and don’t want to resort to harmful pesticides to ensure you get a harvest? Learn how to maintain a healthy productive garden on a tight budget.
This workshop explores organic gardening methods and will teach you how to maintain a sustainable and healthy garden. Topics covered will include homemade fertilisers, companion planting, organic pest and disease control, seed saving and propagation.
