The Achillea ‘Cerise Queen’ is a vibrant and hardy perennial that brings a splash of colour to any garden. With its striking cerise, pink flower heads that boast dark margins and paler centres, it’s a favourite among gardeners looking to add some pizzazz to their ornamental borders or wildlife gardens. The plant typically reaches a height and spread of about 60cm, making it an ideal choice for the middle of a border or for gravel gardens.

Its foliage is a dark green, feathery delight that contrasts beautifully with the flat, colourful flower heads, which become the perfect landing spots for a variety of insects, including hoverflies. Not only does it provide a visual treat, but it’s also known for attracting bees, beneficial insects, birds, butterflies, moths, and other pollinators with its nectar and pollen-rich flowers.
It’s important to note that while the plant is a boon for wildlife, it can be toxic to cats, dogs, and horses, so care should be taken if these pets are part of the household.
