Small red beans that originate from Japan, t raditionally boiled and sweetened to make red bean paste for use in desserts but
can also be used fresh and as a dried bean in savoury cooking. They have a strong nutty flavour and are easier to digest than some other bean varieties. Can also be sprouted.
