Produces an edible bulb like stalk that can be roasted, sautéed or eaten raw. The feathery fronds at the top of the plant can also be used as a herb/garnish. The plant also helps in the war against cabbage white butterfly - the flowers attract a native wasp that is a natural predator of this vegie garden pest. Grow in full sun or part shade moist well drained soil. Best sown in Spring and Autumn
